Place Partnership Board
The purpose of the St Helens Cares Place Partnership Board (PPB) is to provide strategic oversight and management of the St Helens place-based partnership model of delivery to achieve the objectives of the St Helens People’s Board in line with the St Helens Cares plan to improve the health and wellbeing of the St Helens population. This supports the vision for St Helens which is improving people’s lives in St Helens together.

Our Place Partnership Board is chaired by Geoffrey Appleton - previously Lay Chair, NHS St Helens CCG, Geoffrey is now a Non-Executive Director for our partner St Helens & Knowsley Teaching Hospital Foundation Trust, and continues to be an active resident within St Helens, championing innovation & change within the NHS.

The PPB includes executive members from our key partners in St Helens, including the Local Authority, NHS C&M ICB (St Helens), our St Helens Primary Care Networks, secondary care providers, Torus, Local Medical Committee, St Helens Chamber of Commerce, St Helens & Halton VCE, Willowbrook Hospice and a nominated representative from the St Helens People’s Board.
